Bethany Offers Comprehensive, Physician Directed Services On An Intermittent Basis

SKILLED NURSES

Skilled Nurses assist the physician in planning and carrying out the home care program. Nurses assess the patient’s status, monitor unstable and acute conditions, give treatments and injections, and provide patient teaching.

MEDICAL SOCIAL WORKERS

Medical Social Workers identify the social, emotional, and financial problems related to the patient’s illness and take action to obtain community services. They act as an advocate for the patient.

SPECIALIZED SKIN & WOUND CARE

Specialized Skin & Wound Care is a special service. An Enterostomal Therapist is a Registered Nurse who consults in the care of the patients with colostomies, gastrostomies, dermal sores, and any other wounds involving deep skin layers. The ET is an excellent patient educator and counselor for psychological adjustment in body image.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST'S

Occupational Therapist’s are concerned with improving or restoring independent, functioning in tasks such as dressing, eating, etc.

SPEECH PATHOLOGIST

Speech Pathologist helps patients regain the ability to communicate. They evaluate to determine the type of speech or language disorder and plan a program to enable the patient to communicate and understand more effectively.

MEDICAL EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES

Medical Equipment & Supplies are available including hospital beds, wheelchairs, oxygen, toilet risers, shower chairs, walkers, and other types of medical equipment.

HOME HEALTH AIDES

Home Health Aides assist with personal care and activities of daily living. Duties include bathing, dressing, feeding, exercise, and meal preparation.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Physical Therapist relieve pain, re-educate muscles and restore function by using heat, massage, therapeutic exercises, and assistive devices such as canes, walkers, etc.

IN-HOME LABORATORY SERVICES

In-Home Laboratory Services are also available. Offers laboratory specimen collection in private homes and long-term care facilities by highly skilled and caring lab technicians.
